We're a startup, so no two months look the same. This is a role for someone who owns, executes, and delivers without needing to be managed. We're not looking for someone to fill a seat. We want a great AI/ML Embedded Engineer who raises the bar for how our hardware intelligence runs, and who will be trusted with the full picture and expected to drive deliverables to completion.

Role & Responsibilities:

As an AI/Machine Learning Embedded Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role bridging the gap between advanced machine learning models and edge hardware for innovative products that will drive the adoption of electric vehicles and smart energy infrastructure worldwide.

What You'll Own

- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of deploying efficient, resource-constrained AI inference engines onto microcontrollers, edge accelerators, and IoT devices.
- Work closely with hardware, firmware, and data science teams to optimize neural networks, reduce memory footprints, and guarantee real-time performance under strict power and thermal budgets.
- Compress, quantize, and prune machine learning models (e.g., INT8/FP16) for deployment on bare-metal and RTOS-based embedded architectures.
- Proactively monitor industry trends in TinyML and edge AI hardware to identify opportunities to implement new technologies across our EV charger and mobile trailer product lines.
- Ensure embedded AI solutions adhere to industry standards, code quality best practices, and fast execution requirements in changing startup environments.

Who We're Looking For:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering,



or an equivalent technical field.
- Over 5 years of hands-on embedded software engineering and edge AI deployment experience.
- Machine Learning & Edge Frameworks: Deep experience with TensorFlow Lite for Microcontrollers (TFLM), PyTorch, ONNX Runtime, Edge Impulse, or CMSIS-NN.
- Model Optimization: Proven track record in model quantization, pruning, distillation, and neural network compression techniques for ultra-low-power devices.
- Microcontrollers & Hardware Platforms: Hands-on experience developing for ARM Cortex-M/A architectures (e.g., STM32, NXP), ESP32, TI platforms, or dedicated edge AI accelerators/NPUs.
- Hardware Interfacing & Protocols: Familiarity with communication protocols including CAN, MODBUS, SPI, I2C, UART, and TCP/IP.
- Hardware Debugging & Profiling: Experience using JTAG, GDB, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and power profiling equipment to measure cycle counts, memory footprints, and power usage.
- Product Development Track Record: Demonstrated ability to take edge AI/firmware features from initial research and prototyping through hardware bring-up and production deployment.
- Highly adaptable self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment and enjoys learning new workflows, tools, and hardware platforms.
