TEKTELIC is building practical, secure AI-enabled workflows across its business. We are looking for a hands-on AI specialist to establish the technical foundation for this work and deliver practical AI agents and automations that improve productivity across sales, customer support, marketing, operations, finance, and engineering.

This is an implementation-focused role. You will work with business owners, IT/security, and technical teams to turn high-value workflows into reliable, governed AI solutions with measurable results.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement AI agents and workflow automations for internal business and engineering use cases.
- Establish a secure, centralized TEKTELIC knowledge base using approved business, product, support, and engineering content.
- Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions, including document ingestion, indexing, source traceability, access controls, and evaluation.
- Deliver initial high-value pilots such as proposal generation, customer-support assistance, technical/product-answer agents, marketing support, and operations/procurement workflows.
- Integrate AI solutions with approved company systems, such as CRM, databases, support-ticketing systems, ERP/MRP tools, email, product documentation, and engineering repositories.
- Define and implement governance controls: role-based access, customer-data protection, human approval workflows, audit logs, version-controlled knowledge sources, and clear operating boundaries for AI.
- Work with IT and security stakeholders to select appropriate AI platforms, models, integration patterns, and deployment approaches.
- Measure and report business value, including proposal turnaround time, support response time, reduction in repeated questions, reporting effort, and workflow-cycle time.
- Create reusable standards, documentation,



and implementation patterns so additional department-specific agents can be deployed efficiently.
- Provide technical guidance to internal users and help develop TEKTELIC’s longer-term AI roadmap.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of relevant software, automation, data, or AI engineering experience, including practical delivery of production-quality solutions.
- Hands-on experience building AI applications using LLMs, tool calling, agent workflows, and RAG.
- Strong Python skills; experience with APIs, databases, data pipelines, and system integration.
- Experience connecting AI applications to business systems and document repositories.
- Understanding of secure software design, authentication, authorization, data privacy, auditability, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Ability to translate business processes into well-scoped technical solutions and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Practical, outcome-oriented approach: able to start small, validate value, and scale successful solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic or comparable LLM platforms and agent frameworks.
- Experience with vector databases, hybrid search, evaluation frameworks, and AI observability.
- Experience deploying AI systems on AWS or similar cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with enterprise content management, CRM, support-ticketing, ERP/MRP, or engineering-documentation systems.
- Experience supporting industrial IoT, telecommunications, embedded systems, or B2B technology organizations.
- Experience establishing AI governance or internal AI adoption programs.

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
