We are looking for an experienced Architectural Metals Drafter / Shop Drawing Technician to join our team in Burlington.

The ideal candidate has experience preparing shop drawings for architectural metals, cladding, building-envelope systems, or a related construction field. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate shop drawings from architectural and structural drawings and coordinating details for fabrication and installation.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed shop drawings for metal cladding and architectural metal systems.
- Review architectural, structural, and consultant drawings to develop accurate details.
- Prepare plans, elevations, sections, details, layouts, and fabrication information.
- Coordinate shop drawings with project requirements, specifications, and site conditions.
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate technical questions/RFIs as required.
- Revise drawings based on consultant, client, and project team comments.
- Coordinate with estimating, project management, suppliers, and fabrication teams.
- Maintain organized drawing files and revision records.

Required Experience

- Minimum 2 year of experience preparing construction shop drawings.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.




- Solid attention to detail and understanding of construction drawings.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience with architectural metals, cladding, sheet metal, or building-envelope systems is preferred.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with ACM, aluminum/steel siding, soffits, metal roofing, custom sheet metal, or related systems.
- Experience with estimating, quantity takeoffs, or construction pricing is an asset.
- Experience with Revit, Bluebeam, or other construction/design software is an asset.
- Familiarity with fabrication and installation procedures is an asset.

Work Arrangement The position is fully on-site in Burlington during the probationary period. Hybrid flexibility may be discussed after the probationary period based on performance and business requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
