Overview:
This position is to be used when the dealer-owner wishes to hire cashiers with no prior experience and train them on the job. This position is to be used in the majority of stores. The cashier must be quick and effective, as well as courteous and attentive to customers.

Responsibilities:

Enter and/or scan the item(s) selected by the customer.

Ensure entered/scanned prices are accurate, and cancel transactions according to established standards.

Handle cash and other payment methods (debit cards, cheques, etc.) and make deposits according to established policies.

Balance the cash register.

Meet productivity standards (sales/hour, entries/minute).

Provide exceptional and attentive customer service.

Bag items according to established standards.

Keep work areas and uniform clean and well-maintained.

Use equipment and supplies in a protected and effective manner.

Comply with established food safety and hygiene standards.





Perform any other related duties.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma is a valuable asset.

Knowledge of the cash register system is a major asset.

You are customer service-oriented.

You foster communication and team spirit.

You are available to work various shifts during business hours.

You stand out for your interpersonal skills, energy and ability to work under pressure.

Effort and working conditions:

Versatile work hours and ability to work overtime

Short-term exposure to chemicals and cleaning products

Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Ability to lift up to 20kg
