Our client, a leading independent Accounting firm, is seeking a motivated, collaborative, and relationship-focused Manager, Audit & Assurance to join their growing team in Burlington, Ontario .

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced public accounting professional who enjoys working closely with entrepreneurial businesses, owner-managed companies, corporate organizations, and not-for-profit clients. The successful candidate will lead a variety of assurance and advisory engagements while providing mentorship and development to junior team members and CPA candidates.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and review audit, review, compilation, and assurance engagements for owner-managed businesses and not-for-profit organizations.
- Ensure financial statements prepared under ASPE and ASNPO comply with applicable professional and accounting standards.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of corporate and personal income tax returns , information returns, tax slips, and other compliance filings.
- Identify and resolve accounting, assurance, taxation, and business issues , providing practical solutions and value-added advice to clients.
- Act as a key point of contact for assigned clients and build strong, long-term professional relationships.
- Manage engagement budgets, scheduling, workflow, resources, deadlines, and realization to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Review team members' work and provide constructive feedback, coaching, and technical guidance .




- Mentor and develop CPA candidates and junior accounting professionals , supporting their technical and professional growth.
- Delegate assignments effectively while providing team members with opportunities to expand their skills and responsibilities.
- Work closely with Partners and other team members on complex client matters and engagement issues.
- Contribute to process improvements, recruiting initiatives, team development, and community involvement .
- Maintain a team-oriented and positive team environment focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- CPA designation required.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant public accounting experience .
- 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian corporate and personal taxation .
- Solid working knowledge of ASPE, ASNPO, and Canadian assurance standards .
- Strong understanding of financial accounting and tax principles, including the ability to identify and resolve issues within NTR engagements.
- Experience reviewing work and providing coaching and feedback to CPA candidates and developing professionals .
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on client service .
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements, competing priorities, and tight deadlines .
- Solid collaboration, critical thinking, presentation, and team-building skills.
