Everything Automotive is a busy, locally owned automotive repair and accessories shop in Brantford. We are looking for a dependable and motivated Automotive Apprentice Technician to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has automotive experience, enjoys hands-on work and wants to continue developing their skills in a busy independent shop. The successful applicant will work alongside experienced technicians while taking on responsibilities suited to their current skill level.
Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes and routine vehicle maintenance
- Assist with and perform brake service and repairs
- Complete general automotive repairs based on experience and training
- Assist with vehicle inspections and diagnostics
- Install automotive accessories
- Inspect vehicles and clearly communicate any concerns
- Maintain a clean, secure and organized work area
- Complete work efficiently while maintaining high quality and safety standards
- Work cooperatively with technicians, service advisors and other team members
Requirements
- Previous hands-on automotive repair experience
- Registered automotive apprentice status or a genuine interest in becoming registered
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
- Ability to perform oil changes and basic repairs with limited supervision
- Willingness to learn, ask questions and follow proper repair procedures
- Strong work ethic,
reliability and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Own basic automotive tools; specialty tools are provided
- Valid driver’s licence
Assets The following are considered an advantage but are not required:
- Previous experience working in an automotive repair shop
- Brake, suspension or steering repair experience
- Automotive diagnostic experience
- Experience installing automotive accessories
- Current enrollment in an automotive apprenticeship program
