Loyal Homes is a BC real estate brokerage based in Port Alberni. We're growing deliberately, with high standards for how we treat clients, how we run deals and how we handle money. Real estate is a big financial and emotional moment for the people we work with. Getting the details right is how we earn their trust.

The role

You'll run the money side of the brokerage. That means taking each deal file from accepted offer through completion, keeping the brokerage books, and reconciling our trust account every month. The trust account holds client money, so accuracy is the whole job.

You don't need to know Lone Wolf, our real estate accounting software. We'll train you. What we can't teach is the instinct to find the $18.50 that doesn't balance and not stop until you know why.

What you'll do

- Process deal files from accepted offer to completion: deposits, trust receipts, releases, commission calculations and payouts.
- Keep full-cycle brokerage books, including payables, receivables, GST, payroll support and month-end close.
- Complete monthly trust reconciliations and resolve every difference before they go to the managing broker.
- Work with lawyers, notaries, cooperating brokerages and our Real Estate Advisors to keep money moving accurately and on time.
- Keep records audit-ready and compliant with BC real estate regulations.




- Help us tighten our systems as we grow, including practical use of automation and AI tools.

What you bring

- 3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience.
- Strong reconciliation skills and a track record of accurate work.
- Comfort with accounting software and Excel, and the ability to learn a new system quickly.
- Clear, skilled communication with clients, lawyers and colleagues.
- Integrity with money and confidential information. This is non-negotiable.

Assets

- Trust accounting experience from a law office, notary office or real estate brokerage.
- Conveyancing experience.
- Lone Wolf experience.
- A CPB or other bookkeeping designation.

What we offer

- $70,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on experience.

- Monday to Friday, 9 to 5. No evenings or weekends.
