Our client, a prominent regulatory body based in Vancouver, is seeking a Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer to join their team on a contract basis.

This role will focus on assessing, stabilizing, transitioning, and supporting their Business Central implementation, while identifying opportunities to streamline technical debt and optimize core financial processes.

This is a 1 year contract opportunity offering a hybrid work arrangement (approximately 2 days per week onsite in Vancouver).

What You’ll Do

- Conduct technical assessments of existing Business Central implementations to identify technical debt, operational risks, and integration dependencies
- Recommend and execute remediation, stabilization, optimization, and governance improvements
- Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain AL extensions, customizations, APIs, web services, reports, and configurations
- Partner closely with Finance to support GL, AP, AR, banking, EFT, financial reporting, approval workflows, and posting groups
- Build, optimize, and maintain integrations, data mappings, scheduled jobs, and Power Platform automations
- Lead troubleshooting, defect triage, root cause analysis, performance monitoring,



and release management
- Support data migration, validation, reconciliation, and end-to-end testing (UAT, SIT, regression)
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, runbooks, and configuration guides to support operational transition and knowledge transfer

What You Bring

- 7+ years of experience implementing, developing, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / Dynamics NAV
- Strong hands-on AL development, API, web service, and extension experience
- Deep functional knowledge of Business Central Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, Banking, EFT, Dimensions)
- Proven experience stabilizing implementations, reducing technical debt, and managing post-go-live/hypercare support
- Hands-on proficiency with Azure DevOps, GIT, and SQL for data integration, validation, and migration
- Solid experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) and integration architectures
- Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP/Great Plains legacy transitions or regulated, audit-sensitive environments is a strong asset
