Responsibilities
- Decorate cakes according to customer specifications, utilizing various techniques such as piping, fondant work, and airbrushing
- Prepare cake bases and fillings with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every creation
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist customers with selecting designs and flavors, providing excellent customer service throughout their experience
- Handle food preparation tasks including baking, portioning, and packaging finished products for display or delivery
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene at all times
- Collaborate with team members to manage multiple orders efficiently while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship
Experience
- Proven experience in cake decorating or similar food preparation roles within a restaurant or bakery setting
- Strong skills in cake decorating techniques such as piping, fondant sculpting, and decorative finishing
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Previous experience working in the food industry, particularly in baking or culinary arts, is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Kitchen experience that includes food preparation, cooking, and packaging is preferred
Pay: $18.25-$21.50 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week
