Duties

- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict sterilization protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accuracy and patient safety
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic, documenting procedures and updates efficiently
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
- Support front desk operations by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and managing patient check-in/check-out processes




- Assist with pediatrics and orthodontics cases, adapting techniques to meet specific patient needs

Experience

- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a valid certification from an accredited program
- Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and orthodontics enhances communication and efficiency
- Experience working with pediatric patients and in orthodontic settings is a plus
- Strong understanding of dental assisting procedures, infection control standards, and sterilization techniques
- Ability to operate CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools for certain restorative or orthodontic applications is advantageous
- Prior experience in a busy dental clinic workplace demonstrating excellent organizational skills
