Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemical Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. The incumbent is responsible for performing the physicochemical analyses required for the control of raw materials, water, in-process products, and finished products. They ensure compliance with approved procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and regulatory requirements applicable to pharmaceutical products and medical devices.

- Responsibilities
- Perform physicochemical analyses of purified water, raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products in accordance with approved methods and applicable pharmacopoeias (USP, EP, BP).
- Perform analytical tests using equipment such as UV-Visible and IR spectrophotometers, pH meters, conductivity meters, and other laboratory instruments.
- Perform calibration, verification, routine maintenance, and qualification of laboratory instruments in accordance with established procedures.
- Participate in quality investigations related to out-of-specification (OOS) and out-of-trend (OOT) results, deviations, CAPAs, and non-conformance reports.
- Participate in analytical method validation, method transfer, and equipment qualification activities as required.
- Supports production lines as needed.
- Collaborate with the Production, Quality Assurance, Validation, and Regulatory Affairs departments to support operational activities and quality investigations.




- Participates in procedure reviews and the drafting of analysis reports.
- Ensure adherence to schedules to support production needs and product release dates.
- Comply with occupational health and safety requirements and good laboratory practices.

Job requirements

- College Diploma (DEC) or university degree in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in quality control, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Knowledge of pharmacopoeias, instrumentation (basic laboratory equipment, HPLC, UV/IR spectrophotometers, etc.), and software applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a energetic environment.
- Ability to work independently while fostering teamwork.
- Good knowledge of USP, EP, and BP pharmacopoeias.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or food industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent priority management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines.

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
