SCHOOL-AGE CHILDCARE PROVIDERS WANTED

We are looking for Level 1, 2 and 3 Alberta-certified childcare providers to join a school-age childcare program. Ideally, 2-3 candidates who are interested in working together as a team.

This is a split shift position. 7am-8:15am and 2:30pm-5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Friday afternoons are 12:45pm-5:30pm. Extra shifts available on PD Days and Statutory Holidays.

Responsibilities

- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support early childhood development, including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth
- Foster a safe, welcoming environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and creativity among children
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive educational experience
- Support children with diverse needs,



including those requiring special education or additional assistance due to disabilities
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress notes, and incident reports to ensure compliance with licensing standards
- Use computer skills to document observations, update educational plans, and manage classroom schedules
- Lead classroom routines and transitions while demonstrating strong organizational skills and time management

Qualifications

- Valid Childcare Certifications are a must. Levels 1, 2 and 3.
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings or similar environments
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector

Expected hours: 20.0 – 26.0 per week
