Young Sprouts Therapy is expanding its services, and we’re looking for a Child Psychologist to help develop our psychological assessment offerings. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a growing service within an established child, teen and family therapy practice.

The opportunity

You’ll provide thoughtful, comprehensive assessments that give families clarity and practical next steps. We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience in several of the following areas:

- Psychoeducational assessments, including learning disabilities and academic difficulties
- ADHD and executive functioning assessments
- Autism diagnostic assessments
- Giftedness assessments
- Developmental and intellectual functioning assessments
- Social, emotional and behavioural assessments, including concerns related to anxiety and mood

Your assessment caseload will reflect your training, experience and areas of competence. Expertise across multiple assessment areas is an asset; experience in every area is not required. Why join Young Sprouts Therapy?

What you’ll do
- Conduct intake interviews, review relevant records and develop individualized assessment plans.
- Administer, score and interpret appropriate standardized assessment measures.
- Integrate information from children, caregivers, teachers and other professionals, with appropriate consent.
- Prepare clear, comprehensive reports with practical recommendations for home, school and other supports.
- Provide feedback sessions that help families understand findings and feel confident about next steps.
- Collaborate with our team while maintaining professional independence and sound clinical judgment.
- Contribute to the development of assessment processes and service offerings.

What we’re looking for
- Registration in good standing as a Psychologist with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario, authorized for autonomous practice.
- Appropriate authorized areas of practice and competence working with children and adolescents.
- Experience conducting comprehensive child psychological assessments and writing accessible, useful reports.
- Relevant specialized training and experience for any autism diagnostic services offered.
- A warm, respectful approach that recognizes each child’s strengths, needs and individual circumstances.
- Strong communication, organization and collaboration skills.
- Availability on Sundays plus one weekday, during daytime or after-school hours.
