Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized medical office assistant to join our collegial healthcare team at Cordova Bay Medical Clinic. Our office is brand new, and across the street from Agate Beach. We are a group of four physicians, and two nurse practitioners, with over 30 years of experience in providing longitudinal family practice care. The office is currently supported by two full time MOAs, with over 20 years experience.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional support to both patients and healthcare professionals. Your role would be to assist with office flow, and some administrative duties.

Responsibilities

- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner at the front desk.
- Taking patients to and from rooms.
- Cleaning rooms between patients, and assisting with cleaning of the office at the end the of day.
- Assisting with exam root set up for appointments, depending on appointment type.




- Support the medical staff with administrative tasks as needed, including filing, faxing, and data entry.
- Answering phone calls, assisting with booking appoitments

Experience

- Previous experience in a front desk role within a medical office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is highly desirable to facilitate communication within the healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in using office equipment and phone systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Experience in an administrative capacity within healthcare will be considered an asset.
