Company Description: Bedford Group/TRANSEARCH is a Toronto-based executive search and compensation advisory firm established in 1979, serving as the Canadian partner to TRANSEARCH, a global executive search organization. Bedford's compensation practice provides advisory to organizations on all aspects of executive and board compensation strategy.
In addition, Bedford's annual industry-wide research reports provide proprietary, evidence-based insights to support competitive, defensible, and performance-aligned executive pay decisions.
Role Description: The Compensation Analyst is a full-time, virtual role, with Bedford’s head office based in Toronto, Canada. The Compensation Analyst will play a key role in delivering rigorous, well-researched executive and director compensation analysis in support of Bedford’s client engagements and annual industry reports.
This individual will source, organize and validate compensation data from public company disclosures, including proxy circulars and regulatory filings, and will use Excel extensively to support compensation benchmarking, peer group analysis, trend analysis and broader industry research. The role will also contribute to the research, analysis and drafting of Bedford’s annual compensation reports across multiple industries. Beyond data accuracy, the role requires strong critical thinking and sound judgment.
The successful candidate will be expected to question results, investigate anomalies, identify inconsistencies and consider the business and market context behind the numbers rather than relying solely on calculated outputs.
