Recently the GTAA launched Pearson LIFT, a capital plan spanning more than a decade, representing significant investment into Toronto Pearson’s facilities through several construction programs aimed at preparing Canada’s largest airport for the challenges and opportunities of the coming years and beyond.

The GTAA is seeking a Compliance and Litigation Law Clerk to join their legal team and assist with the continued growth of the organization. This role will develop and manage an intake system for litigation claims and inquiries surrounding compliance, as well as triage these requests and re-direct them to the appropriate party. They will regularly review and update internal policies and procedures for the GTAA, assist in managing the implementation of new policies and procedures, as well as manage project timelines to ensure deadlines are met.

This individual will also assist the legal team with managing litigation matters, mainly with respect to commercial and construction related disputes. This position directly reports to a Senior Legal Counsel and is based out of the GTAA offices near Toronto Pearson.



This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, being required in office 3 times per week minimum.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in a Law Clerk role at a law firm or in the in-house legal department of a reputable organization.

Experience interacting with regulatory bodies will be mandatory for success. In addition, experience managing the litigation process by collecting documents and gathering information across business units to support internal Legal Counsel, as well as liaising with external counsel, is ideal for this position.

Experience managing a compliance program will also be an asset. You should be highly organized, a strong communicator, confident, and be a self-starter. This individual is someone who is able to take initiative and have a high level of accountability. Being a team player and having the ability to collaborate and maintain open communication with your team is also essential for success in this role. Being ILCO certified is considered a plus.
