Cook/Housekeeper – Job DescriptionPosition Overview The Cook/Housekeeper is responsible for preparing high‑quality meals and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment. This role requires robust cooking skills in both traditional Chinese cuisine and Western dishes, along with light housekeeping duties related to meal preparation and general household upkeep. The position is part‑time with a consistent weekly schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare traditional Chinese meals and Western-style dishes based on household preferences.
- Plan and execute daily meal preparation, including grocery shopping and ingredient sourcing.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen at all times.
- Clean up after cooking, including washing dishes, wiping surfaces, and organizing cookware.
- Safely store food, manage leftovers, and follow proper food‑handling practices.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying common areas, wiping surfaces, and maintaining general cleanliness related to meal service.




- Drive for errands such as grocery shopping (vehicle required).

Requirements

- Proven ability to cook traditional Chinese cuisine and Western meals.
- Fluent Shanghainese (mandatory).
- Fluent English (mandatory).
- Must be in good health and able to perform physical tasks associated with cooking, cleanup, and light housekeeping.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and household standards.
- Ability to work independently and follow household preferences.
- Availability: 3 days per week, 4 hours per day.
- Must be able to perform grocery shopping as part of weekly duties.
- Must be able to cook for 2–4 people consistently.

Pay: $38.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 per week
