Part-Time English Teacher/Tutor Wanted – Join Oxford Learning Centres Inc. in St. Catharines, Ontario, and help students thrive in English by teaching up to three students at a time. All lessons are pre‑planned; no lesson‑planning required before class.

Position Requirements

All teacher‑tutors work after‑school, evenings, and Saturday mornings (3:45 pm‑7:15 pm, 9:45 am‑1:15 pm). Commitment to the term through June is preferred; summer continuation is a plus. This is an in‑person role that requires commuting to the St. Catharines location; relocation packages are not available.

Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field
Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
Teaching certification an asset
Knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum

Experience
Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
Robust English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students’ understanding




Ability to multitask and balance work with up to three students at a time

Responsibilities
Teach up to three students at a time at different levels
Deliver lessons in‑person (and online when required)
Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
Fill in post‑lesson notes
Update daily student communication
Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times

Job Type & Salary

Part‑time – hourly rate of $19 per hour.
