Bentley School is seeking a caring, collaborative, and student-focused Educational Assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate will work closely with a classroom teacher, school administration, and other support staff to provide meaningful support for students, while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Assignment
Part-time 0.60 FTE Educational Assistant position
Duties to commence as soon as possible and will continue for the remainder of the 2026/2027 school year
Provide targeted one-to-one and small-group support to identified students within Kindergarten to Grade 4
Assist with academic, behavioural, and social-emotional interventions
Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to implement student learning and support plans
Support inclusive practices and help students fully participate in school and classroom activities
Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment
Qualifications and/or Assets
Experience working with students with complex needs
Background and/or experience supporting academic and behavioural needs
Skill in providing one-to-one and small-group instruction
Ability to support students within inclusive classroom settings
Strong organizational skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Robust interpersonal skills and a positive, qualified demeanor
Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented learning environment
Flexibility and adaptability in implementing programming specific to individual student needs
Commitment to student success and inclusive education
Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant or in Early Childhood Development
