SERVICE ADVISOR WANTED — THIS IS NOT A “SIT BEHIND THE DESK” JOB

Commandeur Mechanical is a busy automotive and heavy-truck repair facility, and we’re looking for a Service Advisor who can keep up with the chaos — and maybe even enjoy it.

If you’re organized, quick on your feet, good with people, and can handle a customer who is “just wondering if it’s ready yet” for the 14th time today… we should talk.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You’ll be the person keeping the shop, customers, technicians, and vendors moving in the same direction — preferably without pulling your hair out.

Your day will include

- Writing and managing repair orders
- Communicating with customers about repairs, estimates, timelines and approvals
- Keeping technicians organized and productive
- Ordering and coordinating parts
- Dealing with vendors and suppliers
- Answering phones and handling customer questions
- Managing multiple jobs at once without losing track of the details
- Following up when things inevitably change
- Keeping customers informed — even when the news isn't exactly what they wanted to hear
- Helping keep the shop running efficiently and profitably

phone calls and personalities without completely melting down.

- You have automotive/heavy-truck industry experience and understand that sometimes the plan changes approximately 47 times before lunch.

This is a busy repair shop. Things happen. Customers call. Parts are late. Trucks break down. Technicians need answers. Vendors need information. Customers want updates.

We need someone who can roll with it, solve problems, communicate clearly and keep moving.

-WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR-

We’re looking for someone who wants a permanent position and wants to become a valuable part of the team — not someone looking for a temporary place to park themselves until something else comes along.

Experience in automotive or heavy-truck service advising, estimating, parts, or shop management is an asset.

Most importantly, you need common sense, a good work ethic, a sense of urgency and the ability to deal with people.
