Job Profile The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records by performing scheduled and ongoing cycle counts of raw materials, components, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods.

The Cycle counter reports to the IC & L Supervisor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Inventory Counting

- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts according to the established cycle count schedule.
- Physically count and verify raw materials, components, WIP, and finished goods.
- Start the cycle count batch; enter counts in ERP system, compare physical quantities against ERP system records
- Perform recounts when discrepancies are identified.
- Ensure inventory is properly identified, labeled, and stored

Inventory Accuracy

- Investigate inventory discrepancies and determine the root cause.
- Identify issues related to receiving, shipping, production consumption, material transfers, scrap, returns, or incorrect ERP transactions.
- Maintain inventory accuracy targets established by the company.

Warehouse & Material Control

- Identify misplaced, unidentified, damaged, obsolete, or excess inventory.
- Support proper organization and labeling of inventory locations.
- Support annual physical inventory activities.

- Inventory accuracy %
- Cycle counts completed on schedule
- Number and value of inventory discrepancies
- Location accuracy
- Annual physical inventory accuracy

Other Duties

- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Materials Manager or management
- Follows and comply with all Operational Procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (i.e. IATF, ISO 14001)

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- 1–3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, materials management, or manufacturing preferred.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Positive mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills.
- Counterbalance license is a must
