Hybrid- 3-4 days onsite in Vancouver

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the strategic evolution of our clients Snowflake platform, overseeing multiple enterprise data initiatives and ensuring scalable, governed data solutions. This role will be responsible for designing and advancing modern data architectures, including Snowflake-based Medallion (Bronze, Silver, Gold) frameworks, to support analytics, reporting, and business growth. The ideal candidate will establish and optimize semantic data layers that enable trusted, self-service insights while creating the foundational architecture required for the organization's broader AI and data modernization journey.

Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will guide the expansion of existing integrations and prepare the data ecosystem for adoption across additional enterprise functions and business domains.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience, including platform administration, data modeling, performance optimization, and architectural oversight.

5+ years of experience in Data Engineering,



with strong expertise in SQL and up-to-date DevOps principles, including CI/CD, deployment automation, and data platform governance.

Advanced Power BI architecture experience, including semantic modeling, DAX optimization, and designing scalable enterprise reporting solutions. This role is focused on data architecture and foundational data models rather than dashboard development.

Experience with monitoring and observability tools, preferably Datadog, to support platform health, performance monitoring, and operational excellence.

Proven success working within large-scale enterprise environments, collaborating across global teams and multiple business functions.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience within the retail industry and an understanding of large-scale retail data ecosystems. Hands-on experience with Databricks,
