The Manager works collaboratively with other members of the Department's Leadership Team in a co-leadership model to ensure compounding, preparation and delivery of medications for patients meet high standards for quality and patient safety and is aligned with strategic priorities of the Pharmacy Department and NSH.In addition, the Manager oversees drug procurement and inventory management, pharmacy technician/pharmacy practice assistant competency assessment and certification and health technology assessment (drug distribution systems). The Manager oversees the selection, training and evaluation of pharmacy technician/pharmacy practice assistants, and students with respect to expected performance and competencies and supports the operational, fiscal and strategic objectives of the Pharmacy Department and NSH.
