JOB DESCRIPTION

Logistics Driver/Supervisor – G.T.A.

Reports to: Operations Manager/Ontario & Plant Manager

Salary Range: $50,000.00 +

Job Details:

The Logistics Supervisor, while being an active driver themselves, must oversee the logistics team to ensure all products are delivered in a safe and timely manner within their designated areas.

Prepares weekly schedules for all drivers by designating cost effective routes to maximize labour hours.

Assists the drivers with loading and unloading of goods (when required)

Recruitment and training of new drivers

Organizes, oversees and monitors the packing and distribution of temperature sensitive products to assigned customers.

Delivery of stock to various Ah-So locations (as required)

Daily Verification of truck logs and products logs from all drivers

Schedules regular maintenance and repairs of company vehicles in the GTA Fleet

Duties Include:





Communicate effectively with supervisors and managers to resolve issues between Logistics and Operations.

Deliver temperature sushi products and produce within the Greater Toronto Area – as necessary

Follow all Food sand Safety Policies as per quality assurance delivery guidelines

Ensure delivery vehicles are clean and in good working condition

Load and unload delivery truck by hand or with hand-truck

Maintain and verify company delivery truck and temperature logs

Schedule regular maintenance on delivery vehicles and keep maintenance records in each vehicle

Ensure logistics team follows delivery policies and procedures of the Banner to which they are delivering

Report any shipping errors or damages to the Plant Manager

Qualifications and Competencies

Minimum Education: High School Graduate

Must be able to work flexible hours (very early mornings / late evenings/ weekends – hours range between 4:00 am - Midnight)

Ability to lift and move up to 40-50lbs and be in good physical health

Must be a “G” class license holder with no prior driving offences/speeding tickets (driver’s extract will be requested) and be at least (25) years old to be covered under Company’s Vehicle Insurance Policy.

If age requirement not met, additional personal vehicle insurance required

Organizational and communication skills with attention to detail mandatory

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Be a representative for the Company and respect all customers when delivering
