Our Community Business ServiceCoordinator in Dease Lake is where that work meets the community day to day.This role serves as a primary local point of contactfor TNDC employees and community members in Dease Lake. The Community BusinessServices Coordinator provides directions on administrative matters, includingforms, payroll and expense inquiries, benefits, HR processes, and employee support,ensuring questions are documented, routed to the appropriate department, orOperations team member, and followed up in a timely and respectful manner.The role also supports two-way communication between TNDC and the community bygathering feedback, identifying concerns, preparing engagement reports, andhelping ensure TNDC operations align with Tahltan protocols. In addition, the coordinatorsupports cultural awareness and community engagement activities; liaises withElders, community leaders, and cultural advisors; supports local hiring,training, and community investment initiatives; assists with board meetingcoordination as an extension of the CEO's Executive Assistant; and provides supportto the TNDC Board Chair as required.We're looking for someone detail-oriented, proactive,and grounded in Tahltan culture and TNDC values.Responsibilities:Business ServicesCoordinatorActas a bridge between TNDC operations and Tahltan community protocolsServeas a local point of contact for TNDC employees in the community, helping directquestions related to Finance, payroll, perks, HR processes, forms, andemployee supports to the appropriate TNDC team memberDevelopand maintain relationships with community members, local groups, andstakeholdersSupportTNDC Communications Team, coordinating TNDC functions,



activities andother in the territoryPreparereports documenting community interactions, concerns, and engagementeffortsGathercommunity feedback, concerns, and questions and relay them to managementPromotepositive relationships and trust between the organization and communityCoordinatecultural awareness and community engagement eventsLiaisewith Elders, community leaders, and cultural advisors as neededCoordinateboard meetings and act as an extension of the CEO's Executive AssistantSupportlocal hiring, training, and community investment initiativesSupportthe TNDC Board Chair as requiredSupportemployees with navigating basic administrative questions, including where toaccess forms, who to contact for payroll or expense inquiries, and how tofollow up on HR-related mattersQualificationsMinimum2 years of experience in administrative or coordination rolesStrongunderstanding of Tahltan culture and values (Tahltan applicants)Excellentcommunication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsProficiencyin Microsoft OfficeWorking ConditionsBased in DeaseLakeOccasional travelto TNDC sites or community eventsStandard officehours with flexibility during peak operational periodsMentorship and Knowledge SharingProvide guidance, training, andmentorship to team members, especially local Tahltan workers, by sharingtechnical skills, safety practices, and industry knowledge in a respectful andculturally aware manner.
