Day Time Delivery!!. Drivers would be responsible for organizing their stops, completing paperwork accurately, and delivering packages from point A to point B.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am, pick-up in Cambridge. Deliveries are in Waterloo-Elmira area.
Hours could range depending on how many stops you have. Average is 5-8 hours per day.
Deliveries
At the pick-up location, the driver is responsible for delivering all packages on their list that day.
Vehicle
Drivers use their OWN VEHICLE. A fuel-efficient vehicle is best for this job and a SUV or van is preferred. Fuel compensation is added to pays.
Pay is twice a month which will fall about the 7th and the 21st each month.
Start date: Monday, Septermber 28th.
Responsibilities
- Filling out paperwork accurately
- Load and unload cargo/packages. Hand bombing material happens daily.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of products to customers
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues that arise during transit and/or drop-off
- Assist with moving heavy or bulky items, utilizing proper lifting techniques.
Our job is to make the shippers/receivers happy to see us pull in.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle and work area
- Ensure communication during deliveries is maintained.
Qualifications
- Prior delivery experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Robust customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and perform physical tasks involving moving goods
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers
- Reliable transportation to ensure punctuality for scheduled shifts
- Ability to work independently during afternoon hours with minimal supervision
