Derrick Hands - Tele Double Drilling Rig

Location: Near Bonnyville, Alberta

Schedule: 20 days on, 10 days off

Start: Immediately

Pay: $49.10 per hour, plus full advantages

Excalibur Drilling is hiring experienced derrickhands for steady work on a tele double rig near Bonnyville. *Each crew has two derrickhands: one stick derrickhand and one tank derrickhand.

Responsibilities

- Perform derrickhand duties safely and efficiently, including pipe handling, equipment checks, and rig maintenance.
- For the tank position, monitor and maintain the mud system and assist with mixing and transfers.
- Work closely with the driller and crew, keep the worksite orderly, and report hazards promptly.
- Support less experienced crew members where appropriate.

Qualifications

- Previous derrickhand experience, preferably on a tele double rig
- Ability to perform physical work, work at heights, and follow a 20-on, 10-off schedule
- Mechanical aptitude and strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current safety tickets, including Fall Arrest, H2S Alive, and First Aid
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
