As one of the largest firms in Canada, we have the bench strength and geographic scope to meet the increasingly complex needs of clients.Job summaryThis position is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support forlawyers in the advocacy group of the Edmonton office. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated and highly organized, has superior computer, proofreading and time management skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work independently, follow instructions with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast-paced, qualified team environment.Responsibilities include:Creating documents from standard forms or handwritten notes and editing various legal documentsPreparing court materials in Court of Justice, King's Bench, Court of AppealMaintaining lawyers' calendar and contacts, scheduling client appointments as directed and arranging travel schedules as necessaryOrganizing and prioritizing numerous tasks and completing them under time constraintsPerforming client conflict checks, opening new client matters and maintaining established filesPreparing client billings, responding to billing inquiries and coordinating with clients for billing preferenceMaintaining an efficient electronic file system,
