The Board of Education, School District No. 73 (Kamloops-Thompson), invites Confidential Expressions of Interest from qualified candidates for the position of Director of Communications.

The Board of Education looks forward to welcoming a new member to its senior leadership team in Fall 2026. The successful applicant will bring a demonstrated track record of communications, community engagement, promotions, and marketing. You will have managed all aspects of media events including planning and budgeting. The successful candidate will demonstrate superior interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills.

As the team lead, your duties will include direct supervision of two support staff and leadership responsibilities for superintendent and board relations, internal communications leadership, and the maintenance of positive and effective relations with partner groups including the promotion of district and school events.

Candidate qualifications include:
- Demonstrated excellence in communications and community engagement
- A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Administration or similar qualifications
- A valid driver’s licence
