What the Job Looks Like:

We are currently seeking an Experienced Full-Time Intermediate Dispatcher to join our Operations team based in Acheson, Alberta. This position is responsible for coordinating the daily movement of drivers, equipment, and freight while ensuring customer commitments are met safely and efficiently.

The Intermediate

Dispatcher works independently on routine dispatch functions, responds to changing operational requirements, and collaborates closely with drivers, customers, terminals, and internal departments to support the successful execution of transportation services.

This is a Monday to Friday position with scheduled hours of 9:30am-6:00 PM MST/MDT.

In this role, you can expect to:

- Coordinate daily driver, equipment, and freight assignments to ensure efficient service execution.
- Monitor schedules and proactively address delays, service disruptions, and operational challenges.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, terminals, and internal departments to ensure timely information sharing.
- Adjust dispatch plans and equipment assignments in response to changing customer and operational needs.
- Resolve routine operational issues independently while escalating complex matters when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records,



system updates, and dispatch documentation.
- Monitor driver availability, hours of service, and operational requirements to support efficient scheduling.
- Ensure customer requirements and service expectations are consistently met.
- Assist with load planning, route management, and equipment utilization.
- Support and mentor less experienced dispatchers by answering routine questions and sharing operational knowledge.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment while supporting the overall success of the operations department.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- The ability to prioritize multiple tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong geographical knowledge of Canada and transportation routes.
- The ability to communicate professionally with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure while managing competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- The ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to operational excellence.




- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Transportation, trucking, or logistics industry experience is considered an asset.
- 2 Years of Previous dispatch, operations, or transportation coordination experience required
- A certificate or diploma in Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
