Door Technician / Installer

Division 8 Installations is a growing door hardware installation company specializing in commercial door hardware and electric door security systems. We are looking for an experienced, hardworking, courteous, punctual, and intelligent individual who takes pride in their work and is interested in building a career in the skilled trades.

As a Door Technician / Installer, you will receive the tools, support, training, and mentorship necessary to succeed. You will work closely with an owner who is hands-on in the field and committed to maintaining a positive, professional work environment.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include the installation, service, and repair of:

- Commercial and industrial doors and door hardware installation
- Electric door security and access-control hardware
- Automatic door operators’ installation and commissioning
- Upgrades/troubleshooting existing door and hardware systems
- Security upgrades and integrated electric security systems
- Following safety requirements at all times

Our projects range from large commercial construction sites to smaller security upgrades. We have completed and continue to work on projects for organizations such as BC Hydro, UBC, TransLink, and other major commercial clients. This position offers a wide variety of projects throughout the Lower Mainland, with opportunities to travel throughout British Columbia for out-of-town projects. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have:

- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Previous experience in door installation, construction, locksmithing, electrical,



carpenter or a related trade
- Confidence and proficiency using power tools
- Construction site experience
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English communication skills
- A valid driver's licence
- Basic computer and email skills
- The ability and willingness to work out of town when required
- The ability to pass bonding requirements
- Willing and able to comply with drug and alcohol testing requirements where applicable
- A genuine desire to learn, grow, and develop as a skilled tradesperson

Employment Details Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00–$43.00 per hour, based on experience

Location: Lower Mainland, BC

Travel: Occasional travel throughout British Columbia required
