The Blossoms Daycare is seeking caring, dependable, and passionate Level 2 and Level 3 Early Childhood Educators to join our team.

We are looking for educators who enjoy working directly with children and are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Applicants must hold a valid Alberta Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification and have at least one year of experience working in a licensed childcare setting.

Responsibilities

- Maintain active supervision and child safety at all times, including appropriate staff positioning, regular headcounts, safe transitions, awareness of children's locations and activities, and required child-to-staff ratios.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor learning activities.
- Lead and participate in circle time, storytelling, songs, arts and crafts, and other engaging activities.
- Support children's individual developmental needs, including children with diverse abilities and additional support needs.
- Use positive and age-appropriate behaviour-guidance strategies.
- Complete observations, classroom documentation, and professional Lillio daily reports.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents, coworkers, and Management.
- Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest periods, and other daily routines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming classroom.
- Follow Alberta childcare licensing requirements, health and safety procedures, and daycare policies.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, injuries, illnesses, and other safety concerns and promptly report them to the Room Supervisor/Director.
- Work collaboratively with other educators and support a positive team environment.
- Perform other reasonable childcare, classroom, operational, or administrative duties as required.





Level 3 educators with strong classroom leadership experience may also have opportunities to take on Room Supervisor responsibilities.

Requirements

- Valid Alberta Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare setting
- Current First Aid/CPR
- Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, or willingness to obtain one
- Good understanding of active supervision, child safety, and developmentally appropriate practices
- Solid communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable, punctual, professional, and passionate about working with children
- Comfortable working with different age groups, 12 months and older
- Flexible availability for shifts between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday

Compensation Employer-paid base wage: $17.00–$19.50 per hour, depending on certification, experience, and responsibilities, plus the applicable Government of Alberta childcare wage top-up.
