Contribute to maintaining a welcoming setting at the University of the Fraser Valley as an auxiliary Custodian. This role includes providing essential cleaning services at our Abbotsford or Chilliwack campus.
As an auxiliary Custodian, you will ensure assigned areas like washrooms, classrooms, and hallways are clean and presentable. Your responsibilities include thorough cleaning, garbage removal, and maintaining the safety and appearance of floor areas. Collaborate closely with colleagues while following all safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clean designated areas, including classrooms and hallways
• Execute complete custodial tasks responsibly
• Remove trash and organize supplies efficiently
• Prepare learning environments daily for students
• Comply with safety protocols and use protective equipment
Requirements:
• Building Service Worker Certificate required
• One year of custodial experience preferred
• WHMIS certification is a must
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment procedures
• Willing to work adaptable shifts according to needs
