the Position Summary The Business Support Navigator is the primary relationship and navigation point for participants in the Fredericton. This role supports youth from recruitment and intake through enterprise development, commercialization and post-launch follow-up. It combines youth navigation, barrier-reduction planning, entrepreneurship facilitation, business advisory support, cultural mentorship and site-level performance tracking.

Key Responsibilities

· Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned participants from intake through post-launch follow-up.

· Conduct participant recruitment through community-based outreach and culturally grounded engagement.

· Complete intake assessments and develop individualized employment-readiness and/or enterprise-readiness plans.

· Identify NEET youth participation barriers and coordinate barrier-reduction planning, including transportation, financial instability, digital access and other wrap-around needs.

· Deliver incubator and accelerator modules and provide one-on-one business advisory support.

· Support business plan development, customer and market validation, pitch preparation and commercialization readiness.

· Guide participants through commercialization fund requirements and support compliance verification.

· Connect participants with mentors, advisors, financing pathways, community resources and entrepreneurship ecosystem partners.

· Provide post-launch navigation and follow-up support for 6–12 months.

· Track attendance, completion, contact hours, milestones, referrals, business registration and revenue stabilization indicators.

· Maintain accurate participant and disaggregated program data and prepare quarterly site summaries for funding requirements.

· Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

· Post-secondary education in business, entrepreneurship, youth development, social sciences,



community development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and employment experience, with 1–3 years of relevant experience.

· Demonstrated experience working directly with youth, case managing, building trusted, and consistent relationships.

· Practical knowledge of entrepreneurship and small-business development, including business planning, market validation, pricing, budgeting, marketing and pitch preparation.

· Experience with participant intake, individualized planning, case coordination, referrals and follow-up.

· Comfortable using workplace technology, including laptops and mobile devices.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other relevant digital tools and platforms.

· Ability to work effectively with Black, African, newcomer, refugee and other racialized youth using culturally responsive and anti-racist approaches.

· Experience working with Black youth in rural or urban settings.

· Robust documentation, data-entry, reporting and organizational skills.

· Ability to work afternoon, evening and/or weekend hours as required by cohort delivery.

· Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel in the province

· Criminal Background Check within the Vulnerable Sector clearance and maintenance are required.

· Bilingual proficiency in English and French is considered an asset.

· Ability to live or work in New Brunswick is required.

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
