We are currently seeking an Environmental Engineer or Professional Geoscientist to join our Hydrogeology Division to work out of our Kitchener office.

Responsibilities

- Completing Hydrogeological Investigations and Dewatering Assessments;
- Data interpretation related to groundwater flow, groundwater quality, hydraulic conductivity and groundwater gradients;
- Project Management for hydrogeological, aggregate (gravel pits and quarries) and multi-disciplinary projects including proposals, invoicing and scheduling);
- Preparing and reviewing work plans and cost estimates;
- Completing applications for Permits to Take Water (PTTW) and/or Environmental Activity and Sector Registry (EASR);
- Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies and contractors;
- Mentoring to junior staff;
- Develop technical knowledge within the Hydrogeological Division,



including staff training and development and Standard Operation Procedures;
- Be engaged in the environmental consulting industry and aware of emerging trends, MECP expectations and regulatory changes;
- Perform business development activities, manage projects and clients;
- Other related duties, as required.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, or Geoscience/Earth Science;
- 5-10+ years of relevant post-graduation experience within the consulting industry;
- Member in good standing with Qualified Engineers Ontario or Association of Professional Geoscientists (P.Eng. or P.Geo designation);
- Comprehensive understanding of hydrogeological processes and geology in Southern Ontario;
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills (written and verbal) is essential;
- General understanding of construction practices, earthworks, and planning development approvals process would be considered an asset;
- Experience working on aggregate sites or projects would be considered an asset;
- Familiarity with the Aggregate Resources of Ontario Technical Reports and Information Standards (2023) would be considered an asset;
- Working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Ontario Water Resources Act, Environmental Protection Act and Aggregate Resources Act;
- Proficiency with software applications (i.e. MS Office, Project Management software, etc.).

Salary Range
- $72,000.00 - $90,000.00
