Adamson Systems Engineering is a vertically integrated, mixed-mode manufacturer with an extensive range of up-to-date production technologies located in beautiful Port Perry, Ontario. Adamson manufactures high-end live performance audio equipment for concerts and on-stage performances worldwide.

The successful candidate will utilize our ERP system to drive manufacturing operations by scheduling and capacity planning of raw materials, components, subassemblies, and finished products.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Schedule the shop floor to meet customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain production schedules within the ERP system.
- Issue and manage manufacturing work orders.
- Evaluate and monitor inventory quantities.
- Ensure min/max inventory levels support production demand.
- Continually evaluate MRP manufacturing and cycle times.
- Review routing accuracy and manufacturing lead times.
- Monitor labour efficiency and capacity utilization.
- Identify and communicate production bottlenecks and capacity constraints.
- Establish production targets and throughput objectives.
- Ensure Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, work centres, and planning parameters remain accurate.
- Assist in the enhancement of ERP/MRP functionality and reporting.
- Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Sales, and Engineering teams.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Evaluate results and communicate findings to management.
- Ensure customer and production requirements remain aligned.
- Report to the Production Manager, Sales, and Senior Management Team.

Minimum Requirements

- College diploma or university degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ERP/MRP planning and scheduling.
- Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Experience with production scheduling and capacity planning.
- Experience with inventory management, BOM management, routing management, and work centre scheduling.
- Experience with Open ERP, ECI M1, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics GP, NetSuite, Epicor, Sage, or similar ERP systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience working within a Lean Manufacturing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in a high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
