Belvedere Seniors Living is seeking an experienced Controller to join our leadership team in Coquitlam, BC.

We are a mid-sized, privately owed organization providing complex care and Assisted/Independent Living services to seniors in Surrey and Coquitlam. Our culture is build on collaboration, open communication, and a commitment to "Care with Respect".

Reporting to the President & CEO , the Controller has overall responsibility for the organization's accounting and financial management functions. The Controller works closely with senior management, providing accurate and timely financial information to support both day-to-day operations and longer-term planning.

This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a small accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the integrity of the organization's financial records, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, regulatory reporting, audit preparation, tax reporting, banking and financial controls.

The responsibilities of this position include:

- general accounting, including the preparation of journal entries, maintenance of balance sheets, and reconciliations
- preparation of month, quarter and year-end closings and account analysis
- accurate and timely preparation of financial reports and statements, ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures




- completion and submission of financial and statistical reports to various Health Authorities, the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders
- assessing cash flow needs and presenting insights and recommendatios to the CEO to support financial planning and decision making

Qualifications & Experience

- CPA designation required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in the long term care sector.
- Experience leading a small accounting team.
- Knowledge of payroll processes, tax reporting and T4 preparation
