Floral Clerk

Full-Time / Part-Time

Summerhill Market is looking for a creative, energetic and customer-focused Floral Clerk to join our Rosedale team.

This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who enjoys working with flowers and plants, creating beautiful displays and helping customers find the perfect floral products for everyday occasions and special moments.

What You’ll Do

- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and assist customers with floral selections and special requests.
- Create and prepare bouquets, arrangements, planters and other floral products.
- Wrap and package floral purchases for customers.
- Receive, unpack and inspect floral deliveries for freshness, quality and accuracy.
- Water, care for, rotate and maintain flowers and plants.
- Stock and replenish the department throughout the day.
- Help create and maintain beautiful, seasonal floral displays.
- Monitor product freshness and remove or markdown products as required.
- Ensure pricing, signage and product presentation are accurate.
- Maintain clean, organized and safe displays, coolers and work areas.
- Support seasonal floral programs including Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
- Assist with inventory counts, ordering and other department tasks as required.
- Provide support throughout the store when needed.

What We’re Looking For





- Previous floral, retail, grocery, garden centre or customer service experience is an asset.
- Floral design or flower and plant knowledge is an asset, but we’re happy to consider candidates who are eager to learn.
- A creative eye for colour, presentation and merchandising.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Organized, reliable and attentive to detail.
- Able to work independently while contributing to a team.
- Comfortable with the physical requirements of the role, including standing, lifting, stocking and working with floral deliveries.
- Versatile availability, including weekends, holidays and busy floral seasons.
