Floral Production Clerk | Rosedale Production Floral Dept. Summerhill Market | Toronto, ON

Summerhill Market is looking for a creative, organized and hands-on Floral Production Clerk to join our Floral team.

This role supports floral production for all Summerhill Market retail locations, preparing beautiful, consistent floral products for our stores as well as custom and special orders for our customers.

What You’ll Do

- Prepare and assemble floral products for distribution across Summerhill Market retail locations.
- Create bouquets, arrangements, planters and other floral products according to Summerhill Market standards.
- Prepare custom and special floral orders, including arrangements for celebrations, holidays and other occasions.
- Support higher-volume floral production for key seasons including Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
- Follow production plans and daily priorities to ensure store orders are completed accurately and on time.
- Select, trim, clean, condition and prepare fresh flowers and greenery for production.
- Wrap, package, label and prepare completed floral products for delivery to our retail locations.
- Maintain consistency in quality, presentation and overall floral design across products.
- Monitor flower and plant quality throughout production and identify product that does not meet quality standards.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, rotating and storing fresh floral inventory and supplies.
- Help manage floral supplies including vases, containers, wrapping, ribbon and other production materials.
- Maintain clean, organized and safe production and storage areas.




- Work closely with the Floral Manager and retail teams to support store needs, seasonal programs and special requests.
- Assist with inventory counts, waste tracking and other department responsibilities as required.

What We’re Looking For

- Previous experience working with flowers, floral production or floral design is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a floral shop, grocery floral department, garden centre or other production environment is an asset.
- Comfortable preparing floral products in a high-volume production environment.
- A creative eye for colour, balance, presentation and floral design.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Able to follow specifications while also using creativity when preparing arrangements and special orders.
- Organized and able to manage multiple orders and production priorities.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform the lifting, carrying and repetitive tasks associated with floral production.
- Reliable and flexible, particularly during holidays and peak floral seasons.
