Shakey’s Home-Style Cuisine & Deli – Downtown Ottawa

Pay: $19.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime shifts

No evenings or weekends

Shakey’s Home-Style Cuisine & Deli is looking for a reliable and experienced Food Service Team Member to join our team.

We are a busy downtown Ottawa cafeteria serving breakfast and lunch. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can help during busy lunch periods.

What you will do

- Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take orders and operate the POS/cash register
- Prepare sandwiches and other simple food items
- Assist with hot food service and food preparation
- Restock food, drinks, and supplies
- Keep counters, equipment, and work areas clean
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Work closely with the rest of the team during busy periods

What we are looking for
- Previous restaurant, cafeteria, fast-food, deli, or similar food-service experience
- Reliable and punctual




- Comfortable working quickly during busy periods
- Good customer-service skills
- Able to work independently after training
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Food Handler Certificate is an asset

Why this position is different This is a Monday-to-Friday daytime position with no evening or weekend shifts.

We are looking for someone who wants steady work with a small, established team and can become comfortable with the position quickly.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25.0 per week
