Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling inventory movement, order picking, and warehouse operations using various types of forklifts and material handling equipment. Your expertise in warehouse distribution processes and mechanical knowledge will ensure smooth, safe, and accurate operations.

Responsibilities

- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move materials safely within the warehouse
- Perform heavy lifting tasks and load/unload shipments with precision and care
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Assist with order picking by selecting products according to order specifications using mechanical skills and basic math for quantity verification
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs




- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock locations and maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill daily shipping and receiving goals efficiently

Experience

- Proven experience operating forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, in a warehouse setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for order accuracy and inventory counts
- Experience with heavy lifting tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and order picking procedures
- Prior experience working with equipment such as clamp trucks or similar material handling machinery is preferred
