Speech language Pathologist responsibilities include the provision of clinical services: assessments, consultation, programming, individual and / or group sessions, education, and referrals as part of the KO and community Child First Team serving children from birth to 18 years of age with a developmental delay or disability living in KO communities. The SLP will travel to each KO community for one week four times a year and will utilize telemedicine to provide follow up, consultation, teaching, and reassessment when not in the communities.ACCOUNTABILITYThe Speech Language Pathologist reports directly to and works under the administrative supervision of the Jordan's Principle Coordinator and KO Health DirectorDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvides clinical assessment of speech and language functions of children from birth to age 18Develops and deliver interventions that addresses identified need, including:Administration of diagnostic tests and interpretation of test resultsTransmission of assessment information to child's family and others as directed by the family.Program modifications.Decision-making regarding the initiation, duration or termination of treatments.Service coordination as required for children with multiple needs.Provides direct intervention on an individual or group basis for children.Provides recommendations for individualized speech and language programs for children.Provides consultation, education and counseling to parents/legal guardians, educators on pertinent speech and language topics.Supervises the work of supportive personnel who provide services to children and families, including developing speech/language goals for the child and regularly monitoring progress to adjust goals and strategies.Plans, develops and provides information,
