About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer to support large-scale digital transformation initiatives for a public sector organization in Alberta. You'll join cross-functional Agile teams delivering modern, user-centric digital services that improve the experience of citizens across multiple government programs.

This is a long-term remote opportunity for candidates located in Canada, with occasional travel to Edmonton for workshops, discovery sessions, or team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full stack web applications.
- Participate in technical discovery, solution architecture, and system design.
- Build new features using modern frontend and backend frameworks.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, UX Designers, and multidisciplinary Agile teams.
- Develop reusable components and improve overall code quality and maintainability.
- Write automated unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and production releases.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and development artifacts.
- Contribute to modernization of legacy applications into cloud-ready digital services.

Required Qualifications





- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent).
- 5+ years of Full Stack development experience in Agile environments.
- 5+ years of experience using Git for cooperative software development.
- 3+ years with modern frontend JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue.js).
- 3+ years developing backend applications using .NET Core, Node.js, or Python (Django).
- 3+ years working with relational databases and alternative database technologies.
- 3+ years of automated unit and integration testing experience.

Preferred Skills

- Experience modernizing legacy enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience working alongside UX, Service Design, or Human-Centered Design teams.
- Knowledge of Government of Alberta development standards is an asset.
- Exposure to Generative AI, RAG, prompt engineering, or AI workflow automation is a plus.

Work Arrangement

- Remote within Canada
- Up to 10% travel to Edmonton, Alberta, as required.
- Must be available during Alberta business hours (Monday–Friday).
