Responsibilities

- Absolutely. For a Graphic Designer position at a printing and signage company, I would include responsibilities that cover both design and production preparation.
- Create and develop professional designs for signage, vehicle graphics, banners, decals, business cards, brochures, posters, window graphics, and other print materials.
- Prepare artwork for large-format printing, digital printing, signage fabrication, and installation.
- Review customer artwork and make necessary adjustments to ensure it is print-ready and production-ready.
- Create layouts, concepts, mock-ups, and visual presentations based on customer requirements.
- Work with customers, sales staff, and production teams to understand project requirements and provide accurate design solutions.
- Prepare files according to production specifications, including correct dimensions, bleeds, cut lines, resolution, colour profiles, and file formats.
- Set up artwork for CNC cutting, laser cutting, vinyl cutting, routing, and other fabrication processes when required.
- Work with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Create and edit vector artwork, logos, images, and other graphic elements.
- Perform image editing, retouching, colour correction, background removal, and image preparation for print.




- Ensure brand colours, fonts, logos, and design standards are maintained consistently across different projects.
- Prepare proofs for customer approval and make revisions based on customer feedback.
- Check final artwork carefully for spelling, dimensions, colours, alignment, and production requirements before releasing files to production.
- Coordinate with the production and installation teams to ensure designs are practical and can be properly manufactured and installed.
- Maintain organized project files, artwork, templates, and customer records.
- Manage multiple projects and meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Troubleshoot artwork and production issues and provide practical solutions when required.
- Assist with signage concepts, architectural signage layouts, wayfinding systems, and digital sign content as required.
- Stay up to date with current design trends, printing technologies, materials, and production techniques.
- Follow company quality-control procedures and maintain a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Perform other related graphic design and production duties as required.

Skills

- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong understanding of digital design principles including typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to translate marketing strategies into visually compelling content that captures audience attention.
- Excellent presentation skills to communicate ideas clearly to team members and stakeholders.
