About the Role

Our Head Ushers are often the first impression our valued guests receive upon arriving at an MRU campus venue.

Our Head

Ushers assist in greeting our patrons and with patron traffic flow in our venues. Head Ushers are the main contact and responsible for supervising a small team of Ushers on duty. Head Ushers help oversee the floor as the Ushers help guests with having their tickets scanned and directing them to their seats. Working alongside the Event Liaison, typically there is one Head Usher per floor to help ensure that Front of House runs smoothly.

Our Head

Ushers delegate responsibilities to the ushers but also assist in making sure our theatre lobby is well taken care of by performing post-event venue checklists.

Working within the Events, Theatre and Hospitality Services area, this is a flexible position whose work schedule is variable and may include an irregular schedule of not less than three (3) hours per shift and up to thirty-five (35) hours per week.

Responsibilities

- Greeting and welcoming guests as they enter into the Bella Concert hall and various other MRU venues on campus.
- Main point of contact and supervisor for Ushers on duty.
- Assisting with scanning tickets and patron seating for assigned seating and general admission.
- Responsible for addressing ticket discrepancies with the Event Liaison or Box Office.
- Assisting Event Liaison with FOH operations for each event.
- Head Ushers will be leaders when delegating venue duties to the Ushers- by assisting with the post-event checklists such as tidying and clearing glassware.

Qualifications

- High School Diploma
- 6 - 12 months of customer service experience preferred

Salary:



$15.45 - $19.44 per hour Closing Date: October 30, 2026 or until suitable candidates are selected
