We're looking for a compassionate, dependable, and certified Health Care Aide to join our team providing evening and weekend care to clients in the Spruce Grove and Stony Plain area.

This position is well suited to a Health Care Aide looking for consistent part-time hours who is available during the evenings and on weekends. Reliability and consistent availability are especially key, as our clients depend on familiar caregivers they can build trusting relationships with.

Schedule & Availability

We are currently hiring a Health Care Aide who can provide consistent evening and weekend availability.

Required Availability

Weekday Evenings

- 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Applicants must be available a minimum of 3 weekday evenings per week.

Weekends

- Saturday: 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM and 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM and 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Applicants must be available for both the morning and evening shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. Consistent availability is important to ensure continuity of care and allow our clients to build relationships with familiar caregivers.

What You'll Do

Every client is unique, but responsibilities may include:

- Providing compassionate, relationship-based care tailored to each client's individual needs.
- Assisting with personal care while promoting dignity, independence, and choice.
- Supporting morning and evening routines.
- Supporting mobility, transfers, ambulation, and fall prevention.
- Providing medication assistance within the Health Care Aide scope of practice.
- Preparing light meals and assisting with nutrition and hydration.
- Providing companionship and meaningful social interaction.
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
- Monitoring for changes in a client's health or wellbeing and communicating concerns promptly.
- Completing accurate and timely documentation.
- Working independently while exercising sound judgment, professionalism, and compassion.

Qualifications

Applicants must have

- Health Care Aide Certificate.
- Current CLHA registration in good standing.
- Professional liability insurance.
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check.
- Valid Alberta driver's licence.




- Reliable vehicle to travel between clients' homes in the Spruce Grove and Stony Plain area.

Experience & Skills The successful applicant will have:

- Minimum 2 years of Health Care Aide experience preferred.
- Experience providing care to seniors in a home care, supportive living, or long-term care setting.
- Strong understanding of person-centred care.
- Strong observation and critical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently with confidence and sound judgment.
- The ability to adapt to each client's unique routines, preferences, and goals.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to remain dependable with scheduled client visits.
