Job Location

· Based in Airdrie, AB, with travel to various locations in Central and Southern Alberta (including up to Edmonton and Banff areas).

Job requirements:

Language: BasicEnglish

Experience: 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent training

Type of Heavy Equipment Operated: Asphalt Screed, Paver, Grader, Skidder, Asphalt roller

Area of work/industry experience: Asphalt finishing, Fine grading and finishing, Rough grading; Industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI), Residential construction, Road construction

Worksite environment: Outdoors, Dusty, Noisy, Job entails working close to buildings, utilities,



moving equipment and public traffic, etc.

Work Setting: Various locations, Commercial, Industrial, Urban

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads (up to 50 lbs/23 kg), Attention to detail, Quick-paced environment

Personal Suitability: Team Player, Accurate, Organized, Reliability, Flexibility

Own Tools: Steel-toed safety boots

Duties:

· Operate heavy equipment

· Operate computer-controlled equipment

· Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks

· Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment

· Secure special attachments to equipment

· Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

· Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment

· Perform minor repairs to equipment

· Monitor safety conditions

· May be required to perform related duties as needed
