We are currently looking for an experienced and skilled Heavy-Duty Mechanic / Commercial Transport Mechanic to join our Fleet & Maintenance team and support our operations at our Surrey and Delta yards.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on commercial trucks and related equipment.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, braking systems, electrical systems, suspension, steering, and other mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently to minimize equipment downtime.
- Complete scheduled maintenance and ensure fleet equipment remains safe, reliable, and road-ready.
- Identify required repairs and communicate maintenance concerns to the Fleet & Shop team.
- Maintain accurate service, inspection, maintenance, and repair records.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work meets company safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with drivers, Fleet, Dispatch, and Operations teams when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.

Qualifications & Requirements





- Valid Red Seal Certification as a Commercial Transport Mechanic / Truck and Transport Mechanic is required.
- Previous hands-on experience working with heavy-duty commercial trucks and transportation equipment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, steering, and vehicle diagnostics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs independently.
- Strong commitment to workplace and vehicle safety.
- Valid driver’s licence is preferred.
- Previous experience working with a transportation or trucking fleet is a strong asset.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.

Location & Schedule Work Location: Surrey and/or Delta, BC

Shifts Available: Morning and Evening Shifts

Schedule: Based on operational requirements and candidate availability.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
