Position: Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)

Located: Hamilton, ON

Shift: 8 hour shifts

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Licensed Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) in the Province of Ontario. Red Seal certification is preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, fuel, lubrication, cooling, and exhaust systems.
- Experience maintaining and servicing pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, conveyor belting, presses, generators, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, dryers, valves, and other production equipment.
- Proficient in the use of machine and fabrication tools, including welders, power threaders, punches, grinders, drills, and other hand and power tools.
- Experience installing, maintaining, and servicing compressed air, water, steam, and exhaust ducting systems.




- Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience in a laundry, manufacturing, food processing, or automated production setting is considered an asset.
- Basic welding and fabrication experience is considered an asset.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial production equipment and machinery.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities on mechanical equipment.
- Install, align, dismantle, and move machinery and equipment as required.
- Service and repair conveyors, conveyor belts, pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, dryers, valves, fans, and material-handling systems.
- Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, cooling, and exhaust systems.
- Perform equipment inspections and identify opportunities for reliability improvements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools safely and effectively.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.




- Follow all health and safety policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders as required.
- Support equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
