Volatus Aérospace développe la première capacité souveraine canadienne de RPAS. Dans le cadre de cette initiative, nous mettons en place à Mirabel un centre d'innovation et de fabrication de classe mondiale réunissant l'ingénierie, les opérations de vol, les systèmes autonomes et la fabrication.

APERÇU DU POSTE

Relevant du Vice-Président Exécutif, l'Ingénieur(e) de fabrication et automatisation jouera un rôle clé dans la mise en place et l'évolution de notre nouvelle ligne de fabrication robotisée destinée à la production à grande échelle de systèmes RPAS.

En collaboration avec une firme spécialisée en automatisation industrielle ainsi qu'avec les équipes d'ingénierie et de production, cette personne participera à la conception, à l'intégration, à la validation et au démarrage des équipements automatisés et robotisés.

Au-delà de la phase d'implantation, le titulaire du poste sera responsable de l'optimisation continue des procédés manufacturiers, du soutien à la croissance des capacités de production ainsi que de l'industrialisation de futurs produits et technologies RPAS.

Cette personne contribuera à faire évoluer les opérations manufacturières de Volatus vers un environnement de fabrication hautement automatisé, flexible et évolutif.

Ce poste est basé à Mirabel, Québec.

RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES

- Participer à la conception, à l'intégration, à la validation et à la mise en service de la nouvelle ligne de fabrication automatisée et robotisée de Volatus.
- Agir comme principal point de liaison entre les équipes d'ingénierie, de production, les consultants en automatisation, les fournisseurs d'équipements et les autres partenaires techniques.
- Définir et optimiser les méthodes de fabrication, les flux de production, les postes de travail et les stratégies d'assemblage afin de soutenir une production efficace et évolutive.
- Collaborer à la sélection, à l'intégration et à la validation des équipements automatisés, robotisés et des outillages de production.
- Participer aux activités de démarrage, de qualification, de validation et de montée en cadence des nouvelles installations manufacturières.
- Assurer la transition efficace des produits de l'ingénierie vers la production en mettant en place des procédés robustes et reproductibles.
- Développer, maintenir et améliorer la documentation manufacturière, incluant les instructions de travail, procédures, standards de production et méthodes d'assemblage.
- Analyser la performance des procédés et recommander des améliorations visant à accroître la sécurité, la qualité, la productivité et la capacité de production.
- Effectuer des analyses de capacité, de charge et de rendement afin de soutenir la croissance des activités manufacturières.
- Identifier et mettre en œuvre des opportunités d'automatisation supplémentaires permettant d'améliorer les opérations et de soutenir l'expansion future des capacités de fabrication.
- Participer à l'industrialisation de nouveaux produits ainsi qu'à l'implantation de nouvelles technologies ou de nouveaux procédés de fabrication.
- Supporter les équipes de production dans la résolution de problèmes techniques complexes et agir à titre de référence technique en matière de fabrication et d'automatisation.
- Contribuer à la planification et au développement des capacités manufacturières futures afin d'accompagner la croissance de Volatus et l'évolution de ses programmes RPAS.
- Participer activement aux initiatives Lean Manufacturing, d'amélioration continue et d'excellence opérationnelle.
- Assurer le respect des normes de qualité, de santé et sécurité ainsi que des exigences réglementaires et de certification applicables, notamment ISO 9001, AS9100 et les autres standards pertinents au secteur aérospatial.
- Effectuer toute autre tâche ou responsabilité connexe pouvant lui être raisonnablement assignée par l'Entreprise.

FORMATION ET EXPÉRIENCE

- Baccalauréat en génie manufacturier, génie mécanique, génie industriel, génie automatisation ou discipline connexe.
- Membre de l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) ou admissible.
- Minimum de cinq (5) années d'expérience dans un environnement manufacturier automatisé.
- Expérience démontrée dans l'implantation, l'intégration ou l'optimisation de lignes de production automatisées.
- Participation à au moins un projet majeur de démarrage de nouvelle ligne de production ou d'automatisation manufacturière.
- Expérience avec des systèmes robotisés, automatisés ou des équipements de production à haut volume.
- Expérience de collaboration avec des intégrateurs, fabricants d'équipements ou consultants en automatisation.
- Connaissance des principes de conception manufacturière, d'industrialisation et de transfert en production.
- Connaissance des méthodologies Lean Manufacturing et d'amélioration continue.




- Expérience dans les secteurs aérospatial, automobile, défense ou manufacturier de haute technologie constitue un atout important.

- Une flexibilité occasionnelle peut être requise pour supporter les activités de mise en service, les essais de production ou les démarrages d'équipements.
- Déplacements occasionnels chez des fournisseurs ou intégrateurs peuvent être requis.

COMPANY OVERVIEW –RPAS PROGRAM

Volatus Aerospace is developing Canada's first sovereign RPAS capability. As part of this initiative, we are establishing a world-class Innovation and Manufacturing Hub in Mirabel, bringing together engineering, flight operations, autonomous systems, and manufacturing.

JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the Manufacturing & Automation Engineer will play a key role in the implementation and evolution of our new robotic manufacturing line designed to support high-volume RPAS production.

Working closely with a specialized industrial automation consulting firm, as well as Engineering and Production teams, the successful candidate will participate in the design, integration, validation, and commissioning of automated and robotic manufacturing systems.

Beyond the implementation phase, the incumbent will be responsible for the continuous optimization of manufacturing processes, supporting the growth of production capacity, and industrializing future RPAS products and technologies.

This position will contribute to the evolution of Volatus' manufacturing operations toward a highly automated, scalable, and flexible production setting.

This position is based in Mirabel, Quebec.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

- Participate in the design, integration, validation, and commissioning of Volatus' new automated and robotic manufacturing line.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering, Production, automation consultants, equipment suppliers, and other technical partners.
- Define and optimize manufacturing methods, production flows, workstations, and assembly strategies to support efficient and scalable operations.
- Collaborate in the selection, integration, and validation of automated equipment, robotic systems, and production tooling.
- Participate in start-up, qualification, validation,



and production ramp-up activities for new manufacturing facilities and equipment.
- Ensure the successful transition of products from Engineering to Manufacturing by implementing robust and repeatable production processes.
- Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, procedures, production standards, and assembly methods.
- Analyze process performance and recommend improvements to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing capacity.
- Perform capacity, workload, and efficiency analyses to support the growth of manufacturing operations.
- Identify and implement additional automation opportunities to improve operations and support future manufacturing expansion.
- Participate in the industrialization of new products and the implementation of new manufacturing technologies and processes.
- Support Production teams in resolving complex technical issues and serve as a technical resource for manufacturing and automation matters.
- Contribute to the planning and development of future manufacturing capabilities to support Volatus' growth and the evolution of its RPAS programs.
- Actively participate in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with quality, health and safety, regulatory, and certification requirements, including ISO 9001, AS9100, and other standards applicable to the aerospace industry.
- Perform any other related duties and responsibilities that may reasonably be assigned by the Company.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or eligible for membership.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience implementing, integrating, or optimizing automated production lines.
- Participation in at least one major new production line start-up or manufacturing automation project.
- Experience with robotic systems, automated equipment, or high-volume production environments.
- Experience working with automation integrators, equipment manufacturers, or automation consultants.
- Knowledge of manufacturing design principles, industrialization, and production transfer processes.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, defense, or high-technology manufacturing environments is considered a significant asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
